Joe Benaron's relationship to Magnatone is tangental at best. His business, Pacific-Mercury wasn't related to Magna, however a few important Magnatone employees were previously employed by Benaron. Nonetheless, Benaron is an interesting story, and it hadn't been for his companies, its possible that Magnatone might not been the same. Certainly, Vox/USA would not have been the same without Benaron. For this reason, I thought I'd post this 1957 Van Nuys News bio.
