Between 1947 and 1958, the Melodier was made with several different circuits and speaker configurations. It was usually a 5 tube push-pull circuit, but there was a 4 tube push-pull variant (see schematic at the bottom of this page).
The name Melodier was first used with the M-195-4 and M-195-5 circuits of the late forties. The 109 appeared between 1953 and 1954. It was dropped around 1957 or 1958, when Magnatone overhauled its amplifier line.
They came as pictured below, with tan vinyl covering as well as with MOTS pearloid finish (above, catalog picture).
